This fully washed Organically grown coffee comes from Tsheya and Minova villages in the Group of Buzi of the Kalehe Territory. This beautiful region grows coffee at 1400 meters, has volcanic soil, and receives about 50 inches of rain annually.
La solidarité pour la Promotion des Actions Café et le Développement Intégral (SOPACDI) was established in 2003 with 286 members with the aim of boosting small coffee farmers' quality and quantity. 28% of the members are female and the cooperative has made positive impacts on the community's housing and public infrastructure. The cooperative has increased membership to over 5,300 members in 2014 and cultivates nearly 10,000 hectares.
